Alison is always there to challenge the participants.
Alison, NBC.com

This show opened with Alison talking to all nine players, telling them that each of them has an oppotunity to help their fellow Americans make significant changes in their lives, and that the best place to do that was Washington, DC. She told them she'd meet them at the Jefferson Memorial.

She told them they'd get to talk to congressmen about their journey and they'd also be visiting the White House. That was quite a shocker and everyone was excited.

She also announced that they were going to be competing as individuals now. That was also a shocker, and it was another pleasant one.

The pop challenge was to gather a lot of people to participate in Bob and Jillian's public workout at the Washington Monument. The person who gathered the most people would win the challenge and would take all their people to Subway for dinner. Additionally, they'd win a substantial advantage at the later challenge.

There was a substantial and loud competition, especially between Amanda and Daniel because people recognized them from last season. Allen went to a fire station and was able to drum up a ton of participants from his fellow firefighters.

The winner was Liz and she won by only one person over Allen. She was ecstatic and couldn't believe she'd won.

Bob and Jillian then got up in front of the group and got everyone fired up. Bob orchestrated the workout from the stage while Jillian took advantage of the opportunity to "pick on total strangers."

The next day the contestants, along with Bob and Jillian, all went to meet with senators. Daniel was a very instructive teacher to the senators. They really listened to him.

For the challenge Alli told the contestants they'd be visiting four landmarks because there were four stages to the challenge, and to win they'd have to survive all four of them.

The last person standing won immunity.

The challenge began at Constitution Gardens. They had to run one mile. Tracey remembered back to the first day when she had to go to the hospital after running one mile.

Liz's advantage was that she could skip one part of the challenge. She decided to particpate in the one mile run. Only the first six finishers would be able to compete in the next phase.

Rebecca came in first, followed by Daniel, Allen, Amanda, Rudy, and Liz.

For those six, they competed at the Watergate Steps in the shadow of the Lincolm Memorial. Each player had 17,954 pennies, signifying the exact number of pounds lost to date on the Biggest Loser.

They had to race down the steps, pick up pennies, and run up the stairs with the pennies to fill up their containers. The first four to finish moved on to the third challenge. Liz opted to sit this one out, so only three others would be able to move on.

Rudy's big hands really helped him to win. He was followed quickly by Daniel. Rebecca and Allen worked side by side and it was so very close, but Rebecca beat out Allen for the final spot.

The next challenge was for Rudy, Rebecca, Daniel, and Liz. The third part was balancing on a narrow ledge, holding a Pilates ball over their heads. The last two people standing would go to the final part of the challenge. The first one to fall was Daniel, followed by Liz. The final two competing were Rebecca and Rudy.

Their task took place in front of the White House and consisted of going up and down on a step. Whoever had 206 steps first won. (There have been 206 contestants so far on the show.) The lead changed hands a few times but Rebecca stayed ahead most of the challenge. And she won immunity...and giggled quite a lot.

Alison said that they'd all be able to go in the White House the next day.

Alison, Bob, and Jillian accompanied the contestants to the White House. It was an awe-inspiring experience for all of them. They were met by an assistant White House chef. They started in Michelle Obama's personal garden and were going to cook a meal with the chef. They then met the Executive Chef and some sou chefs. The contestants kept remarking about what a great experience it was and how they couldn't believe they were preparing a salad in the White House kitchen.

The last chance workout took place in Washington and Jillian had fun working out everyone. Bob was allowed to do the same thing. Bob noted that weight loss always sucks when they take a vacation, so both trainers were determined to work everyone out sufficiently.

Here's how the weigh in on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial shook out:

Rebecca, 4 lbs, 1.79%, had immunity
Shay, 9 lbs, 2.24%, under 400 lbs
Tracey, 3 lbs, 1.52%
Daniel, 11 lbs, 4.04%
Allen, 9 lbs, 3.44%
Danny, 12 lbs, 3.48%
Rudy, 9 lbs, 2.64%
Liz, 3 lbs, 1.36%
Amanda, 7 lbs, 3.27%

This meant that Tracey and Liz were up for elimination. For so long everyone wanted Tracey out of the competition, but would she be able to weasel her way out of being voted to leave.

Both Liz and Tracey had to get in front of the group and ask to be able to stay. It was a tough choice, and here's the how the voting went:

Amanda vogted for Tracey
Shay voted for Liz
Danny voted for Tracey
Daniel voted for Tracey
Rebecca voted for Tracey, which was enough to eliminate her.

Tracey started at 238 and left the ranch at 194. When the show ended it showed her at 153.

Don't get excited. It's not real; it's reality TV.
