Elmo is featured on the Google logo today as part of Google's weeklong tribute to the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.

Starting this past Wednesday, Google has integrated a different Sesame Street character into its famous logo every day. Internet search traffic for that Sesame Street character has spiked each time.

The series will run through Tuesday, the official date of Sesame Street's 40th anniversary.

Day one featured Big Bird. Next up was Cookie Monster, then Bert and Ernie, then Oscar the Grouch and now Elmo. Check out the slideshow to see all five, and return here tomorrow and Tuesday to see the last two days.

Any guesses as to which Sesame Street characters will be featured the next two days?
