Take a look at the top trending topics on Google right now and one is likely to pop out at you.

The no. 2 search term on the list is "Why won't my parakeet eat my diarrhea?"

Huh? Who could possibly be wondering that?

But it makes more sense when you read this explanation from Google.

Google automatically gives you suggestions as you type in your search query to try to save you time. When the correct one comes up, you can click it and avoid some typing.

Some of the most humorous suggestions come up when you start typing a question into Google, such as "Why won't..."

For some reason the top search item that comes up when you type in "Why won't" is the aforementioned "Why won't my parakeet eat my diarrhea?" It seems that many people who were probably wondering about something else (let's hope so anyway) saw that and clicked on it out of curiosity, thus making the phrase a trending topic.

There are also some slightly more understandable ones such as "Why won't my car start?" "Why won't my dog eat?" and "Why won't he marry me?"

Try it out. Start typing in any question and see what Google suggests. The results can be pretty darn humorous, as "Why won't my parakeet eat my diarrhea?" attests.
.
One question remains unanswered. Google says it suggests search terms based on what people all over the world are looking for.

So who in their right mind would be searching for information on a parakeet refusing to eat diarrhea in the first place? Disturbing, though at least it shows that parakeets have good taste.
