Sun City Girls, none of which are girls (yeah, I was disappointed at first, too), lost a band member recently, and "no longer exist as a performing entity".  However, they have formed a Sun City Girls Tribute Band!  They created a loophole to get around their self-imposed limitation!  Par-for-the-course with these wacky characters.  They have released over 70 albums in their 27 year history.

They introduced me to the music of Caroliner Rainbow (by throwing out a cassette, amongst other things at a show in Tempe, Az) and convinced my band at the time that the makers of Jolt Cola (we had a song about it) were coming out with a new drink called Jumper Cables - with twice the caffeine of Jolt.  We were many cities through our tour before we realized that they pulled on over on us!  I haven't heard them in years, but will be sure to check out this show.

Check out the High-Dive on Sunday - Doors at 8, show at 9.  There will be two sets of music and a 40-minute film of lost member Charles Gocher's video experiments.
