When it rains, it pours!   Two of my most listened-to bands are playing back-to back days!

Friday, April 25th, Jucifer plays at Larimer Lounge  (2721 Larimer, Midnight, $13 Day of show).
This is the loudest two-piece band in the world!  The sort-of gawky-hot singer/guitar player, Amber Valentine, whispers, sings and screams, all-the-while hammering out heavy heavy noise!   Drummer Edgar Livengood is so pained and extreme playing drums, it's mesmerizing!

Originally from Athens, they now live on the road - rocking Denver at least once or twice per year!
Don't worry if you aren't familiar with the albums, the live show is an entirely different experience anyhow.

Saturday, April 26th, The Sword plays at the Bluebird Theater  (3317 E. Colfax, Doors at 8, show at 9, $12 day-of-show)

These guys are 20-somethings from Austin and I would not think twice about calling them the new Black Sabbath.  They are not speed metal, not glam metal, just simply HEAVY METAL.  There aren't long solos, there's no joking around, they just effortlessly generate a powerful storm of sound!  They even have a song  on guitar Hero II!

Another show not to be missed!  Take a listen!
