Artist's rendering of the Old Chatham Country Store

OLD CHATHAM, NY -- This historic Columbia County hamlet has a new place for dinner. It's the Old Chatham Country Store, which had been limited to breakfast and lunch.

The store was taken over by chefs Brian Albert and Peter Trump, both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America, in the spring of 2004.

They had been offering in-store meals as well as takeout along with operating as a gourmet country store.

The dinner menu, which will change every other week, is being offered from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Breakfast is served daily from 7 to 11 a.m., hot lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., salads and sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Mondays).

The 32-seat restaurant is located at 639 Albany Turnpike Road. Dinner reservations are recommended: (518) 794-6227.
