Elizabeth Ho'oipo Pa Nakea, Esq. has championed the rights of Maoli people (native Hawaiians) for over two decades as Executive Director & Attorney for the Native Hawaiian Advisory Council. She serves as a Director of Hale Ku'ai, an artist cooperative promoting Maoli arts, which recently documented results of its Native Hawaiian Cultural Trademark Study. Ho’oipo is a member of the 128-year-old Social Science Association of Honolulu and the Hawai’I State and Native Hawaiian Bar Associations. Ho'oipo will utilize her artistic expression as a photojournalist to continue her advocacy, with a focus on the field of contemporary art. Reach her at gethooipo@gmail.com.
