There are so many spooky activities to participate in tomorrow and Saturday, but perhaps a favorite for all ages is Boo at the Zoo, on Saturday, October 31st.
The Oakland Zoo is hosting special Halloween festivities, which are free for all, with general admission. (You pay the regular entrance fee, but no additional Boo at the Zoo activity fees.) Boo at the Zoo includes treats, a spooky train ride, and a costume parade.
In general, the Oakland Zoo is one of the most fun and frugal paid family memberships in the Bay Area. Currently, with a family membership (which costs less than $100 for a year), your admission and parking fees are covered, leaving you with no additional costs to come and go as you please. This works great for families with young kids who have limited attention spans and nap schedules! In addition, Oakland Zoo membership gets you significant discounts at other animal parks around the country, including the San Francisco Zoo and Lindsay Wildlife Museum, locally.
So zip up your costume and head on over to the zoo for some spooky animal fun!
