PackageingNews.co.uk is reporting that Ballantine's is launching a new style of packaging.  Recently I reported on Macallan's attempt to target a younger audience and Ballantine's appears to be attempting the same with the new packaging.

The new bottling seems to be a sure hit at night-clubs and bars as they feature LED-style graphic equalizer meters that react to sound that move to the music.  The campaign is titled "Listen to Your Beat" implying that by obeying your own rhythm (no vowels? what a word) you will "make choices that leave an impression on others".

Check out PackaginNews.co.uk for countries that will be seeing the new bottling.  I hit two liquor stores in my local area only to confuse the employees as the US seems far down the list.  I comforted myself by purchasing the Oban 32 year special release, which I will be reviewing in an upcoming article.

If you spot the new bottling from Ballantine please leave a note below - would like to hear first-hand how effective the look is.
