The Grand Ole Opry opened its doors April 22 for an appearance by MercyMe,

The platinum-selling Christian band met up with country/bluegrass veteran Ricky Skaggs before hitting the stage to sing for a receptive audience.

The band’s first album, “Almost There,” has sold more than two million copies.

Four of their six studio albums have made it into the all-genre Billboard Top 200’s top 40.

They have had eight No. 1 Christian singles and three other singles in the Top 10.

They have also taken home seven Dove Awards presented by the Gospel Music Association.

On April 7, the band released the 28-track CD, “10.”
