First of all, Blanket is not his name. It’s a nickname he picked up.
He was born Prince Michael II in 2002 with the involvement of an undisclosed surrogate mother.
He is extraordinarily camera shy and was aware of the presence of photographers at his father’s memorial service in Staples Center. Most photos show him hiding behind sister Paris and brother Prince, peeking at the cameras as if on the lookout to hide some more.
The photograph above, showing him standing with Paris, is the best shot the Associated Press was able to get of him the day of the service.
