TMZ has just reported that Michael Jackson's former wife, Debbie Rowe, plans to fight for custody of the two children born during her marriage to the singer.
During a phone conversation with a rep from NBC 4 in Los Angeles, Rowe said "I want my children." This news comes after earlier reports from TMZ that neither Jackson nor Rowe are the biological parents of Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. Sources close to the birth say that both children were indeed carried by Rowe, but conceived in vitro with Rowe merely acting as a surrogate.
Rowe maintains that she is, in fact, the biological mother of the children and she will take a DNA test to prove it.
We're a little confused by this development... Since the passing of Michael Jackson, we've been re-watching the Living With Michael Jackson: Take Two series on Youtube, and in this clip, Debbie Rowe has this to say about the children:
My kids don’t call me ‘mom’ because I don’t want them to. They’re not— they’re Michael’s children. It’s not that they’re not my children, but I had them because I wanted him to be a father…I could so something for him and this is what I wanted to do.
Also in the clip, when asked why the children don't have a relationship with their mother, Michael responds:
No ‘cause she doesn’t.. Uh.. It’s private information. She doesn’t.. She, she, she can’t handle it… I can’t reveal it ‘cause I don’t want to make anybody upset.
We're not sure what it is, but there is a reason why Michael Jackson didn’t ask for that woman to be the guardian of his children in his will. And there’s a reason why she’s only now expressing a desire to be their mom, and that’s money. She needs to step away from the children (and the $$ signs she’s seeing in their eyes) and keep it moving. We see right through you, Debbie Rowe!
