Christmas Day may have passed but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate and still get a great deal while doing it! Here at Examiner.com’s Nasvhille Budget Travel column, I like to make the most out of every opportunity, including holidays. So do the folks at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Located just 3 hours east from Nashville’s suburbs in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, Dollywood is the perfect weekend trip.

Christmas At Dollywood

Even though you may have already taken down your Christmas lights, they still have four million Christmas lights filling the park. Plus, they have a special 4-D Polar Express experience, the country’s tallest German Christmas Pyramid, and even a parade of lights.

Scream For Joy

Don’t forget about the rest of the park, too. Almost all of Dollywood’s rides and attractions are still open in winter. This includes roller coasters the Tennessee Tornado and Mystery Mine and kiddie rides like Lumberjack lifts and Piggy Parade.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

As an added bonus, get yourself a 2009 season pass for only $73 (cheaper than a 2 day admission) and play for the whole weekend and all the way to January 2, 2010! But hurry, they take the lights down on January 3rd. Check out MyPigeonForge.com for more money saving coupons to print before you leave home.
