Bill Gates held a wide-ranging talk at the University of Washington this past weekend, fielding questions about Microsoft's bid for Yahoo, Google's search-advertising nexus for revenue and the interface glitches for Windows Vista.
It's always nice when Gates appears around town, especially as he talks about giving back to the UW and beyond, as he does through The Gates Foundation. Gates will officially step down as Chairman of Microsoft in July to work full time at his foundation, flush with more cash than the GNP of most countries.
