Well, it's October. The start of the real season in baseball. Good to see so many familiar Mariner faces in the MLB playoffs. Oops. They aren't exactly Mariners anymore. But we digress.

Lou Piniella is taking the Cubs back to Goat Curse Killer Land. Go get 'em, Lou.

Ken Griffey had The Throw for the White Sox, giving Chicago a pair of post-season contenders.

Crafty little lefty Jamie Moyer hurls for the Phillies.

Pat Gillick masterminds another winning roster in Philadelphia, although he still intends to step down as the Phillies GM.

We see Gillick walking in Magnolia, where he owns a home. Could it be he's coming back to help the M's fix what ails them, which is just about everything?

And, of course, the mother of all bad reminders of bad Mariner deals that have not stopped hurting: Jason Varitek, Captain Red Sox!
