Find out more about Pamela: Pamela Jacobson is a U.S. Army veteran helicopter pilot who, having nearly succumbed to the ravages of malaria after a tour in Central America, is now exacting her revenge on the mosquitoes of West Central Florida. In seven years as a Hillsborough County mosquito control pilot, she has been involved in all aspects of mosquito control, from basic science to daily operations. As one of many extracurricular projects she developed a page on the county website to inform the public about mosquitoes, mosquito control, and the importance of preventing mosquito-borne illnesses.
