Tomorrow evening, moms can show up to At Your Service feeling frazzled and rundown and leave feeling relaxed and radiant by experiencing a visually guided meditation led by Nancy Boudrie owner of Awaken With Light.

Participants will take part in Boudrie's "Welcome Inner Balance" meditation, which is also featured on her debut CD that will be released in mid November. The event is $15 and takes place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at At Your Service in downtown West Chester. Attendees should wear comfy clothes and bring a water bottle and a journal.

"The purpose of this visually guided CD is to bring the vital life force energy that runs in and around the body into balance," she said.  "By integrating this sense of inner balance, we begin to experience our natural state of well being in mind, body and spirit. When we are in alignment we embrace inner peace, immense joy and enlightenment in our life!"

Boudrie said her CD aids the focus and de-compressing process helping participants to reclaim a natural state of well being and inner balance. Attendees of Wednesday's event will be able to participate in a raffle for a free copy as well as reserve copies in advance.

Boudrie, who is a certified transformation meditation instructor, also offers several workshops at Awaken With Light's Downington studio.  These workshops include meditation, healing arts, positive thinking, finding and connecting to your inner voice and authentic self.

She added that while the entire family can benefit from Awaken With Light's services, moms in particular need to take some time to decompress and re-energize.

"Like a car that runs on gasoline, mothers have to fill up when we get close to empty or our engine will run out of gas and ultimately leave us stranded," she said. In addition, she said that when a mom takes time for herself, it benefits the entire family.

"Your day will simply go better if you give yourself 15-20 minutes for some type of quiet mindfulness in the morning to embrace inner peace and harmony," she said. "When parents are examples of such a lifestyle, children are so receptive."

One way to achieve this mindfulness is to sign up for Boudrie's free weekly email newsletter, titled Gentle Reflections. "Each week you are given something inspiring, and encouraging to contemplate," she said.

Boudrie said the inspiration behind Awaken With Light came after the birth of her second child when she made a "mental, emotional and financial" decision to leave her job as the president of a successful insurance agency that she built to stay home and raise her children.

"The name Awaken With Light was inspired because my mission and passion is to awaken everyone to their own inner light that lives within all beings," she said.

"By awakening our own light we allow others to radiate this same beautiful light."
