Daniel at 2007 OFCC Party in the Park

On Monday, January 5th, we'll kick off a whole new era for the Cleveland Gun Rights Examiner column.

After over two months of great pro-gun articles here, David Codrea has been promoted to the National level for Examiner! This is a great opportunity for him, and I'm glad to see that his columns will now be even more accessible to a wide audience.

While David's promotion is great for the gun rights community, Examiner didn't want to lose the local Cleveland connection and asked me to take over.

For those who don't know me, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. I am the Secretary/Treasurer for Ohioans For Concealed Carry, Ohio's Premier Grassroots Gun Rights Organization, and have written articles for their news website for several years. I'm an NRA Training Counselor (that means I can train new certified instructors) and I've been a hunter for almost 25 years.

David set a great precedent for this column, and I'd like to continue it. Grassroots gun activism, by definition, requires us to work together at the local level. I welcome your comments and suggestions, whether in response to an article I've written, an idea for a new article, or any tips you might have about breaking news. Feel free to contact me at dwhite@OhioCCW.org.

So, thank you for visiting, and I hope you'll make reading this column a part of your daily routine!
