The BBC released a story April 3, 2009, about two orthodox Jewish newspapers removing females from a photograph of the Israeli cabinet’s inauguration.

Apparently, showing the images of cabinet members Limor Livnat and Sofa Landver was not alright with Yated Neeman and Shaa Tova even though both of the women are cabinet members.

While Sha’a Tovah blacked out the women, Yated Ne’eman replaced them all together with two men who are apparently not members of the Jewish cabinet.

Orthodox Jews consider it a matter of modesty to refrain from publishing images of women.
