OSHA steps in to investigate Dueling Dragons roller coaster accident at Islands of Adventure

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA is investigating the recent accident at the Dueling Dragons roller coasters, according to WESH 2 in Orlando. On July 1, a worker at the Islands of Adventure theme park was injured by a coaster train on one of the two Dueling Dragons tracks (Dueling Dragons is actually two roller coasters, Fire and Ice, as you can see in the photo at right). No specific details were ever released about the incident, and it was quickly overshadowed by the fatal Disney World monorail accident on July 5 (click here to read about that). OSHA investigated the Disney accident, and now the federal agency is stepping in to take a closer look at the Islands of Adventure incident.
