In the southeast part of town, a major sneak through is closed this weekend.

The Cherry Creek Dam Road, a popular way to avoid the hassles of I-225, is undergoing some much needed repairs and will be closed all weekend. It should re open in time for the Tuesday morning commute.

Barricades are posted at both ends, forcing motorists to use I-225 to drive between Aurora and the Tec Center. Those who are lucky enough to have a state parks pass can sneak through Cherry Creek State Park, instead of using the highway.
