Too Much Snow and A New Night Time Cone Zone For I-25
POSTED May 12, 8:39 AM
I-25 is a tough drive after dark near downtown because of repaving work between 23rd and 48th Avenue.  Now, a second big repaving of I-25 will slow you down even more. This one affects your drive on a two mile stretch, from Santa Fe and 6th Avenue.
The work on I-25, between 23rd and 48th Avenue, starts at 8 each night.  The repaving of I-25, between Santa Fe and 6th Avenue, starts at 9, an  hour later. There will be single lane closures on I-25 because of each of these projects and some nights, crews may have to close two lanes of the highway. Needless to say, these two things will cause major, night time delays along I-25, near downtown. Both of these repaving jobs happen Sunday through Thursday nights and both should wrap up sometime in August.

Too Much Snow
!
CDOT says there is no way they can clear all the snow on on CO 82, over Independence Pass like they normally do. Independence Pass is just east of Aspen. Usually, CDOT can get it clear by the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. This year, the deeper than usual snow is forcing them to push that date back a week to May 30th.
