D-REX is Coming At You, Douglas County

T-REX fixed the Tec Center drive on I-25. When everything was finished, I-25 was modernized with new interchanges and extra lanes, making the drive from County Line to Broadway almost enjoyable.

Now, it is your turn Douglas County.
Starting this summer the ugly stretch of I-25, from downtown Castle Rock to Tomah Road, will get a facelift. Part of that stretch will be widened to three lanes, the entire stretch will be repaved and that nasty, old, “part here and part over there” interchange at Plum Creek Parkway will get totally rebuilt.

Sorry no light rail for you.  Not this time.

D-REX starts in June. It is suppose to be finished by December 2009.

The price tag?

39-million dollars give or take a couple bucks.

Topics: highway construction , I-25 , Castle Rock , Douglas County.
