Doctor "No" once again embarasses Oklahoma by holding up the Veterans Caregiver and Omnibus Health Benefits Act - S. 1963. Yes, he's holding firm to his ideological bent to drown the federal government in a bathtub.
Doctor "No" doesn't cotton to the epistemological sufferings of others. He's absolutely certain that Jesus wants him to personally throw the money changers out of the temple of government. Nevermind the fact that government is not designed to be any sort of "pure" institution. It's constantly being amended, which is the nature of its very existence. Screw that, says Doctor "No".
There IS no separation of church and state in the "good book" of Coburn's mind. It's perfectly logical and acceptable to him to ship bibles to Africa on military planes, while preventing people from "profiting" by caring for their patched-back-together war veteran spouses. Government's not supposed to solve problems --that's Jesus' job! The best thing government can do is get out of the way and let Christ run the body politic.
A special place in Hades is waiting for Doctor "No" and his ilk. For he has turned God into an actuarial table analyst, weighing souls on one side of the scales against the corpulent, rotting flesh of the forgotten on the other.
Good luck, Doctor "No", with your self-congratulatingly uncompromising stance of moral superiority over those who don't suck the Jesus juice like you do. Best wishes justifying your rabid absolutism with the irony that just about everyone but yourself knows what a despicable character you really are.
True, most politicians in Washington are pond scum. But you sir are that bloom of algae, which suffocates the life out of everything it touches. Your soul is consumed by its hyper-egoistic self-inflation. And your chewing gum false reality bubble is about to burst. Let's hope at least some of us can avoid the sticky mess afterwards. Lord knows it won't be our veterans.
