A pretty nice Thursday ahead for Denver. A cold front will be moving across the state this morning and that will aid in dropping temperatures a couple degrees. Partly cloudy skies will prevail and we should reach a high temperature around 88 degrees. While dewpoints remain high today, the cooler surface temperatures will help to ease the chances of thunderstorms. Areas in the foothills and the Palmer Divide have the best chance of seeing some activity.
High pressure centered over the Texas panhandle will strengthen on Friday and this will aid in drawing up moisture from the southwest into Colorado. As it does, this increases our chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures for the extended period will range from around 89 degrees Friday to the mid 90’s on Sunday and Monday.
