A hot one in the Mile High City today. It seems like our models have trended to forecasting temperatures a bit too warm lately but today will be hot regardless.
We are still seeing a good bit of low level moisture but as the day progresses a westerly flow should push that out providing for high temperatures and little chance of thunderstorm along the Front Range. Look for temperatures near the mid 90’s in Denver today under sunny skies. Thunderstorm activity should be confined to the eastern plains.
Thursday we cool down again thanks to a cold front arriving late tonight. With it we do see an increase in moisture and a corresponding increase in the chance for thunderstorm activity. Friday temperatures near 90 again with just a slight chance of thunderstorms. Looking ahead to the weekend, we remain warm and the ever present slight chance of thunderstorms remains in the forecast as well.
