Denver's weather forecast for Wednesday, May 27, 2009
We continue to dry out and warm up on Wednesday.

The drying out continues.  We finally see things start to dry out in earnest today and we finally see some sun.  Wednesday will be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the low to mid 70’s.  This afternoon there remains a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains and foothills.

As we head into the latter half of the week, temperatures continue to increase reaching near 80 on Thursday and into the mid 80’s Friday and Saturday.  Each day we see a chance for showers and thunderstorms – a fact of life this time of year.  With these storms the mountains have the greatest chance but some may creep onto the Front Range, particularly later in the week.

Sunday we begin a bit of a cooling down as a low pressure system and cold front move across the area.  This will usher in an increased chance of precipitation late Sunday and into the first part of next week.  Correspondingly, temperatures will decrease into the low to mid 70’s during that period.

Be sure to check out our forecast slideshow for a look at the rest of the week and the weekend ahead.
