A cloudy and cool start to your weekend is on tap for today. There will be areas of scattered rain showers this morning and this afternoon brings a chance of thunderstorms. The number and frequency of both will increase after noon so if you have anything to do outside, do it first thing this morning while you can. Areas along and north of I-70 are the most likely targets for the thunderstorms. Currently I don’t expect we will see a great amount of rain from these storms. Overnight tonight a chance of showers will remain with us.
For the second half of your weekend, Sunday looks to be a bit less wet but still mostly cloudy and cool. There will be a 30% chance of showers for the day and a slight chance to see a shower or two Sunday night as well.
As you start your workweek the unsettled pattern will remain with us but temperatures will slowly be on the increase. As is typical this time of year, there is the ever-present chance of thunderstorms but development of those will be limited here along the Front Range.
