One more day of "cool" weather before the heat returns

July 18, 10:17 AM

We get one more day of reasonable temperatures Friday with an expected high temperature of 88.  Get ready for the heat though as this weekend is shaping up to be a HOT one.

There is a good bit of moisture in the atmosphere Friday morning which will lead to a chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon but there shouldn't be any widespread occurences of these.  By tonight, the airmass will start to dry out signaling a change for this weekend.

The dry atmosphere will lead to identically hot days Saturday and Sunday.  Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 90's - well above our average temperature for this time of year of 88. Stay cool!
