Downslope, Chinook winds, gustnado, scud clouds, thermocline… Pretty fancy words and phrases for sure and we oftentimes hear these and many others on our nightly weather forecasts. But, how many really know what these mean besides the talking head on TV? What is the difference between a cyclone and a hurricane? A Chinook wind and a Bora wind? A tornado and a gustnado? Have you ever wondered about these and other weather conditions and terms? You aren’t the only one and here is your chance to find out!
Examiner.com and I would like to invite you to submit your weather-related questions to me, your esteemed Denver Weather Examiner. I will then answer all that I receive to the best of my ability. If I don’t know the answer, I am sure I can find it (or I will look pretty dumb making this request – haha).
