Denver received its first snowfall of the season today,
almost a month later than normal.

This morning Denver woke up to a touch of snow across most of the metro area thus marking the first snowfall of the season.  This is well behind the average date of our first snow, October 19th.  We were getting very close to the record for the latest first snowfall which still stands as November 21st, set in 1934.

Some of the snowfall reports this morning:

Arvada 1.1 inch
Boulder 1 inch
Denver (Stapleton) 0.8 inch
Denver (DIA) 0.1 inch
Denver (north) 0.2 inch
Longmont (north) 0.3 inch
Thornton 0.2 inch
Westminster 0.2 inch
Wheat Ridge 0.6 inch
