The price we pay for  a good haircut can be outrageous, and is usually justified by the price we've paid for a bad one.  Many of us are tempted to go the DIY way with our hair, but can we afford to?  Yeah, yeah, "it's only hair" some may say.  However, those of us who have suffered at the hands of scissor misfits know what the true cost of cutting back in this area could be.

Well despair no more.  Snugly situated behind the main drag on 24th St. in Noe Valley, is Honeycomb.  When my long-time hair maven left SF for her employer's outpost in Walnut Creek, it was either bite the BART bullet or find a new salon here in SF.  After 1 solid year of successfully avoiding the subject,(she is that good), I found Honeycomb.

Honeycomb is aptly named.  The salon is cozy, welcoming, and down-to-earth.   Impressively, my fear of a bad haircut, and the strict limitiations I imposed on Gillian did not prevent her from giving me a good cut.  She went with the flow, listened to me, and gave me what I asked for.  Surprisingly painless.

Honeycomb's pricelist is very reasonable, but you'd never know from the results.  Honeycomb salon, 3915 24th St # C; (415) 401-0100
