Good news for Seattle beer drinkers: Big Al Brewing (occupying the space which used to be Pacific Rim Brewing) is opening for business in White Center tomorrow. The new brewery, whose slogan is "Live Your Dreams, Drink Ours," describe themselves as a "band of local home brewers living the dream of brewing good beer and sharing it with the local community."

Led by longtime homebrewer Alejandro Brown, Big Al plans to stay true to their roots and support the natives by creating a "local hero" tap, which will give homebrewers the opportunity to have their recipes brewed on a bigger system and available in Big Al's tasting room.

For the opening tomorrow, Big Al will have two beers--Abbey Wheat (a wheat beer with Belgian spices) and Irish Red (described as a "sweet, roasty, caramel love fest that will put a smile on your face"). The tasting room will be open from 3-9 pm. with free samples and pints for $3.75. In addition, an hourly, free merchandise raffle will be held and, from 6-8 pm, beer drinkers will be treated to live music from the band Three Buck Chuck.
