When one first walks into the Pour House, one might relive scenes from the 2000 cult flick, Coyote Ugly. Girls are chosen at random intervals to summon their inner Piper Perabo and sling shots into the mouths of Hartfordians in this savvy demographic-friendly bar setting. The ritual gives the Pour House a literal meaning.

The jean-friendly dress code stays in tune with its 21-28 year old Thursday, Friday and Saturday night audience. There is no cover to begin reaping the benefits of the Pour House and if you have a friend who enjoys dancing--a $5 cover stands in your way. 

The first level is a nice fit for socializing, "breaking the ice" and raging. The second level has a bit of an intimate setting with low lights and an above average DJ. Looking for a posh clean cut evening? Then the Pour House isn't your scene, but if you're looking for a place to celebrate the end of the work week, the Pour House is a fine start.
