On Wednesday, October 14, join Social Boston Sports, a local community of fun-loving young professionals, as they conquer mid-week monotony in lederhosen at The Lansdowne during their third annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Kicking off at 7:00 PM with a hearty "prost," partygoers can celebrate the downhill slide into the weekend with live music from the Thomas Park Band, cornhole games, and gut busting sausage eating contests. As with any true German-themed extravaganza, there will be plenty of seasonal "biers" on tap, such as event sponsor Wachusett Brewing Company's Oktoberfest Ale.
While admission to the event is free to the public, partygoers can pony up $5 for access to the "Bier Tent," a private VIP area filled with perks, including a tasty brew from Wachusett, plus delicious food from the Lansdowne. According to Social Boston Sports co-founder Justin Obey, tickets to the private VIP area should be purchased in advance by clicking here.
Located at 9 Lansdowne Street alongside Fenway Park, The Lansdowne is a relatively new pub that's quickly gaining a positive reputation among Bostonians for its cozy atmosphere, excellent beer selection and rockin' live music.
