Someone once told me that they hated the movie "No Country for Old Men."  His exact words in describing why were, "The only thing I can compare it to is French."  This baffled me.  Did he mean the language?  Did he mean contemporary French cinema?  Perhaps he had seen "La Jetee" and deemed all French movies too weird.

In any case, he's clearly missing out, as the new Tournees French Film Festival at Colorado Film School rages on.

The movies will be shown on Thursdays and Fridays at 6:30 at 9075 E. Lowry Blvd -- Building 965 Denver, CO 80203.

The schedule is as follows:

April 9th   - Bamako
April 10th - Persepolis
April 16th - Reves de Poussiere (Dreams of Dust)
April 17th - La Scaphandre et Le Papillon (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly)
April 23rd - La Petite Jerusalem (Little Jerusalem)
April 24th - La Vie en Rose

It's an excellent chance to see movies you might've missed at the Starz Denver Film Festival and to see some real gems on the big screen.  The only thing you'll be able to compare it to is "French."
