Diablita Cantina has recently opened in Jonestown/Harbor East in the space where Tsunami once was. The new restaurant, whose name is Spanish for the little devil, is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The restaurant offers $5 margaritas on Wed., and has a list that includes such unusual ingredients as cucumber, hot pepper, and watermelon. The restaurant has an extensive tequila list as well as a decent beer selection and wine list. The menu offers classic Mexican dishes with a twist. Pork and pineapple tacos are served with delicious fresh soft shells and spicy vegetables. A free range cumin roasted chicken burrito is stuffed with tomatoes, saffron rice, and fennel. Other entrees include braised bison quesadillas, coconut tamales, chorizo pizza, and tuna ceviche tacos. Diablita also hosts a unique brunch on Sundays.
