Dakota Fanning will play the Volturi vampire Jane in "New Moon."
New Moon begins shooting this month in Vancouver, and is currently scheduled to open in theaters this November.

In January Fanning said -

I'm glad that people are excited about me possibly being in it. That's so nice! We're both pale. ... I don't think they'd have to put a lot of makeup on me if it works out. I'm pretty pale as it is."
The Volturi are kind of mean. I think it would be definitely a different part than I've ever played — and I'd get to be a little evil for once.

Eclipse News

Who will direct the third movie, Eclipse, in the Twilight saga?  Recently it was reported that Drew Barrymore was among those interested in directing the screenplay.  However there are rumors that the New Moon director, Chris Weitz is also interested, along with Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona.

Summit studio has declined any comment since there are a number of candidates under consideration..
