This week the History Channel features a variety of programs that explore real life horrors that begin on Monday, October 26 with Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula.  His descendants are in a hunt 500 years after the death of the 15th century prince, to learn more about their infamous ancestor. During the exploration to learn the truth about this evil tyrant they are haunted by mystifying events, misfortune, and tragedy. You'll want to watch - Bloodlines: The Dracula Family Tree. Check the website for the times in your area.

Tuesday night, October 27 the exploration continues with - Cities of the Underworld - Dracula's Underground. This program covers the rich legends and folklore in the city of Bucharest, Romania. The program features secret prisons, caves, and dungeons. Host Don Wildman will lead the journey through eerie tombs and tunnels to discover the "Son of the Devil."

Not to be outdone by the legend of vampires, Wednesday night features - MonsterQuest - American Werewolf. Local eyewitnesses in Wisconsin and Michigan report seeing a dogman--a tall hairy man-beast. For the first time, eyewitnesses will be given polygraphs and undergo hypnosis and the results are reportedly astonishing. Discover the truth behind this legendary monster that promises to be one-part history, one-part science, and one-part monster. The show is followed by - The Real Wolfman. This sounds like more of a documentary based on findings of criminal profiler George Deuchar and cryptozoologist, Ken Gerhardt. They investigate a legend from the 1700s in the French hamlet of Gevaudan, where a mysterious beast brutally attacked and killed 102 villagers, mostly women and children.

Thursday is an evening filled with UFO Hunters and on Saturday, October 31 don't miss Modern Marvels - Halloween Tech. View the most extreme jack-o-lanterns ever made and visit a haunted house with an annual attendance of over 50,000.
