Dreaming of a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving but don't want to cook it yourself? You could try and wrangle an invitation to someone else's home cooked dinner, or you could take advantage of the Thanksgiving specials being dished out by local restaurants. Here are some possible options for a home cooked meal without the cooking:

Thanksgiving at the Beehive begins at 1:00 pm and goes all the way until 2:30 am. As always, a special dinner at the Beehive includes music. On tap from 1:00 - 3:00 is Jazz Vocalist Patrice Williamson. Patrice is followed by Eleonora Bianchini from 3:00 - 7:00. Then from 8:00 - midnight, enjoy the sounds of AB's.

The menu at Davios includes turkey, stuffing, gravy, pumpkin pie and other mouth watering delights and if that isn't enough, you may want to take home a turkey sandwich along with stuffing, chutney and gravy so you can pretend you're eating leftovers the next day. $35/Adults, $10/children, $12/turkey sandwich.

L'Espalier is serving up last year's Thanksgiving menu which includes roasted free range Vermont turkey with Madeira truffle gravy; cornbread, chestnut and sausage stuffing, along with some non-traditional Thanksgiving items. L'Espalier also offers a completely vegetarian Thanksgiving menu for those wanting one. Each course is paired with a different wine, and Rebekah Menard and Greg Dickinson will entertain. $68/person.

In addition to the Oak Room's a la carte entree's the chef will offer a special Thanksgiving menu. $36 - $62/person.

Sel de la Terre will be offering a prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner priced at $58/person. In addition to a roasted farm raised Vermont Turkey, diners can select a main course of gnocchi, salmon or beef shortribs. Should you want to have Thanksgiving in your home without doing any of the prep work then you may want to consider Sel de la Terre's Thanksgiving take out menu. In restaurant and take out menus are  available at all three Sel de la Terre locations.

If you prefer a buffet to a formal sit down dinner, then consider Thanksgiving dinner at Turner Fisheries. The buffet will be available from 11:30 am - 6:00 pm and will include a cold buffet, hot buffet and a dessert buffet. This buffet will satisfy those in your party whether they prefer the traditional turkey with all the trimmings or just enjoy the celebration sans turkey. $65/person; $20/children 5 - 12; free/children under 4.
