Do you have a dog and want to include him/her in your Halloween celebration? There are a few Halloween events taking place in and around Boston for you and your pet(s). The first event is on Saturday October 24, 2009, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. There will be a Halloween dog costume party at Pops Restaurant on Tremont Street in Boston's South End. Man's best friend will be treated to canine cocktails and cuisine, and there will be a silent auction to benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston. For more information contact Sweet Dog Walking.

The second doggie Halloween event will take place on October 25, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm in Brookline. at the Cause to Paws pet boutique. This is the fifth year that Cause to Paws has held a Halloween party. There will be prizes in various categories and refreshments for pets and their owners.
On Sunday October 25 starting at noon, The Divas Unleashed Halloween Parade and Contest is a benefit for the MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center. The parade will start at the DoggieDay PlayCenter and end at the South End Open Market. Once at the SOWA Market, prizes will be awarded for Most Original Costume, Best Dressed Couple (dog and guardian) and Most Outrageous Costume. To be considered for prizes you must register in advance ($10) or the day of the event ($15). In addition to registering on-line, you can purchase tickets at DoggieDay PlayCenter, The Pet Shop Girls and the SOWA Market.
On October 30 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm dogs and their humans are invited to a Halloween party in Arlington hosted by Blue Sky Dogs and Picture Perfect Pets. There will be food, games and a costume contest. All activities are designed for dogs and their escorts, who are also encouraged to come in costume.
The last event is on October 31, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at Fanueil Hall Marketplace. Radio station 93.7 host Mike FM will host the third annual Howl-oween Pet Parade. There will be prizes and trophies in several categories, and the parade will be followed by a Yappy Hour party at Ned Devine's.
