Sylvia Gregory Audition Seminar ($20)

October 4, 7:21 PM
by Mare Trevathan, Denver Theater Examiner

Eliot Street Collective founders Meridith Crosley
and Cathy Reinking in the studio
Sylvia Gregory (Casting Associate for the Denver Center Theater
Company for the last two years) is holding a one-night seminar on theatre auditions on Monday, October  20 from 7-8:30pm at Eliot Street Collective.

I'm goin'.

Actually, I asked her to teach it.

Syl ROCKS.  We've sat through the combined general auditions the past few years, and she's always gracious and positive.  When I'm rolling my eyes and doodling on spare receipts, she's still leaning forward with availability.

There are SO many things you can easily change to improve your audition.

Syl knows what they are.

It's $20 and she'll cover headshots and resumes, monologue choices, audition preparation, wardrobe, professional
conduct, and tips for "reading the room."

For actors of all levels.

June 30, 4:01 PM
Denver actor Jessica Austgen (right), has a deceptively cherubine face.  In point of fact, she's fiercely witty.  Thankfully she reserves her sting for worthy subjects such as errant world leaders and Andrew Lloyd Webber. ... Read More
