November 8, 2009 - Michael Lohan, father of Lindsey Lohan, is so relaxed about getting served court papers for the case between Jon Gosselin and TLC, he told the process server to leave the papers at the house; he'll read them when he gets home from vacation. According to TMZ.com, the father of the famous actress knew the court papers were coming, and while he hasn't seen the papers, he readily accepts them -- just drop the papers off and enjoy the weekend.
The recent turn of events hasn't left anyone, surrounding Jon Gosselin, to be not contacted by TLC for the pending litigation over the recent events of Jon & Kate Plus 8. This lawsuit, while in the infant stages, will be an interesting education for fans to watch and learn the behind-the-scenes inner workings of contracts and trusts of a major reality show. This is how all the shows work, but the back door on this particular show will be open in court to prove points in the litigation.
The lawsuit, in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland, is a contractual-based issue. There is finger pointing of alleged unauthorized talking to news media, alleged outlandish and inappropriate behavior, and then the allegedly refusal of Jon Gosselin to show up and film on required days. The lawsuit was only filed five weeks ago and already the lawyers have set up a showdown, which will escalate.
The losers in this lawsuit? Well, the fans of course! The show is winding down, and there isn't a firm time when Kate Gosselin's new show starts. Meaning we get to miss the 8 kids that were growing up before our eyes.
