Jon Gosselin starts new charity foundation for kids
November 11, 2009 - Jon Gosselin started a charity for kids according to MSNBC.com. Keeping to the spirit of his family he named the charity after his father 'Jon Gosselin Children's Foundation'.
MSNBC.com reported on November 10th that the foundation's purpose is to help the kids in the world by continuing the work of Jon Gosselin's father. Gosselin's dad was a dentist who took one day out of the week, for over 30 years, to give away treatment to handicapped children.
After Jon Gosselin's dad passed away, Jon realized the efforts of his father, from all the handicapped individuals who came to pay their respects. At that time, Jon decided to continue his father's efforts by using some of his personal money toward helping parents pay for medical bills. Since the idea is new, he plans to work with his brother to find companies and organizations to contribute funds as well.
'Jon Gosselin Children's Foundation' unfortunately doesn't have a web presence yet, but Gosselin is hoping to expand the idea next year so individuals can also contribute.
Since he is always in the news far, far away from his children, it seems strange Jon Gosselin has decided to venture into the charity side of life. Suppose that is why you never want to prejudge a person.
