November 10, 2009 - The freedom we enjoy in the United States is due to the actions of America's silent heroes: Our Veterans. On Veterans Day, you may find yourself in the presence of a hero and you need to acknowledge their contribution to our country. There is nothing better than taking a moment to give this individual celebrity treatment.

The veteran who touches you could be a family member, a friend or an armed serviceman who you have never met before, yet each of these individuals deserve a big thank you in a celebrity way!

Here's the top five ways  to give a Veteran celebrity treatment on Veteran's Day:

Give some fan mail. How can you share your appreciation with a lasting impression? What about a simple thank you note or send an personal email. Share why you are grateful for their service and how their actions have impacted your life. Give thanks literary style to a Veteran.

Treat a meal. Celebrities find free meals at swank restaurants, shouldn't Veterans eat good too? Know someone who has served in the armed forces? Take them out for a nice meal to enjoy the evening and remind them how their contribution helped you.

Give some relaxation time - Celebs find the way to refresh is a low key afternoon at the spa for a chance to relax. Give your veteran a gift of relaxing by purchasing a giftcard to your local relaxation hotspot.

Have a close up taken - Celebrities say the press can be annoying, but your veteran will appreciate a photo with you. Take a minute to take a snapshot so you can share it with them via email or make a print. If your veteran is a friend or family, put it up where others can see it and share the experience.

Buy  a new toy - When you're a celebrity, once your toys grow old, you immediately buy new. Give your veteran a giftcard to a local store where they can purchase a new toy too. It doesn't matter if it is a $10 card or $25, Veterans can use the giftcard  to buy something they want.

We must never forget the selfless efforts of veterans and the sacrifice they have given our country. Honoring the people in uniforms is a small token of appreciation to a larger sacrifice they have given us: our continued freedom in the United States of America. Happy Veteran's Day!
