Mark Martin has renewed hope in his Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship after teammate and points leader Jimmie Johnson wrecked on lap three of the Dickie's 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.  Martin trimmed 111 points from Johnson’s lead with a fourth-place finish.

“It’s not over yet,” a smiling Martin said in post-race interviews. “The race is still on and it’s a hard fought battle. We’re giving it our all. We’re racing our guts out every week,” he said.

Martin has even more reason to be optimistic as the Chase heads to Phoenix International Raceway next week where he won and led the most laps in the spring race.
