Cheryl Wright & some furry friends - TW photo

Cheryl Wright is a woman with a passion for pets.  In one way or another, she's been caring for pets all of her life.  She grew up with Dachshunds as the family pets, helped her grandparents care for farm animals, rode horses, fed the goats and nurtured the newborn animals that were a constant on the farm.  As an adult, she set up a very selective pet-sitting service, providing in-home attention for a handful of clients.  At the moment, her family includes two Yorkies and a black Lab that stays with them for a week or two each month.

When the economy went sour, it affected Cheryl and her husband, Tom, just as it did many people, so they started looking at their options.  After doing their due diligence, they realized that pets are always going to be a priority in peoples' lives, and that those pets need to be cared for.  Given Cheryl's passion for animals, starting their own pet-based business was a natural fit for them.

Fetch! Pet Care of NW Atlanta serves Canton, Woodstock, Marietta, Roswell, Acworth, Kennesaw and Holly Springs, and offers in-home care for every sort of animal imaginable.  From dogs and cats to iguanas and hamsters, Fetch! Pet Care has professionally trained, bonded and insured pet sitters to care for them all.  In addition to home visits, Fetch! Pet Care also provides private dog walks, group off-leash dog outings, in-home overnight pet sitting, private boarding, day and evening care, pet fitness services, pet taxi services, yard pet waste clean-up and medication administration.  With rates varying from $18 to $55, and with discounts for extended stays and visits, there is a price point to fit most budgets.

Cheryl decided right off the bat that flexibility would be one of the offerings of her company.  Owners can hire them for ongoing daily services, weekend and holiday services, or just occasionally on an as-needed and even short-notice basis.  In addition, she offers a complete customer satisfaction guarantee.  She also provides a free, in-home consultation before the first pet sitting assignment, so the customer, pet and chosen caregiver can get acquainted and be comfortable with each other.

Asked about her favorite client, Cheryl has a quick answer.  "The most interesting client is one who fosters labs of all ages.  I have been honored to pet sit all of these labs at one time or another.  There was escape artist, Noah, who managed to free himself from his kennel and then proceeded to open the door to the garage and encourage his buddies to partake of the food supply.  There is Beau, the ladies man, who weighs 90 pounds and is accompanied by a stuffed baby raccoon that never leaves his side.  There is Phoebe, whose prior life was spent as a puppy mill (mother) who instinctively mothered and nurtured a three pound Yorkie puppy."

From a young girl with a passion for animals to a woman with a passion for her animal-based business, Cheryl Wright has certainly found the perfect venue for herself.  And clients lucky enough to use her services find a great fit, too.
