Every dog should have at least one cute trick, and trick training is fun and easy. In today's video, you'll see exactly how to teach your dog to do a high-5. For extra fun and entertainment value when you're showing your friends your dog's new trick, give it a different name. Instead of high-5, think of a funny phrase that goes with your job or your life. For instance, if you're a bailiff, the command might be "do you swear to tell the truth?" When your dog raises his paw to smack your outstretched hand, it'll look like he's being sworn in.
As with any dog training, make it fun for both of you, each and every time. If you find yourself getting frustrated, stop right away. If training isn't fun for both of you, then it won't work well. When you're teaching your dog a new game, chances are you'll both enjoy playing it, making training faster, easier and more successful.
Happy high-5!
