He is the author of three Japanese edition books on Ichiro Suzuki and three screenplays. He lives in Sammamish with his family and recently became a first-time grandfather to twins.

Canada can rejoice tonight as one of its own finally wins a medal in the Beijing Games. It's in women's wrestling, but that's a start.

Carol Huynh, in the 48 kilogram class, beat her opponent in the semifinals, thus guaranteeing a silver or gold for her. She will wrestler for the Olympic title later today. It shouldn't be a surprise. Canada has been known as the cradle of women's wrestlers.

The country is now tied with Togo, Vietnam and Ecuador, among others, for 42nd place in the medal count. And there more wrestlers to come. Glory days.
