Three names were added to the education hall of fame through the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools during the 2009 charter schools conference in Washington, DC. Knowledge Is Power Program was one of three honorees.

KIPP was started, not by just one person, but a "family" of individuals who jointly shared the dream of what is possible for our kids through public education. David Levine, Mike Feinberg, Harriett Ball and Richard Barth tell the story of those early days in this video (courtesy www.publiccharters.org).

Congratulations KIPP! And thank you for what you do for our kids.
